ACCPros continues to move ahead and gain ground! We will have a conference call
to discuss accomplishments and the direction we are heading. We need your input:

- UDMSA Platform/position - we are developing a industry wide (AICCCA and others have
agreed to assist in development) to address the UDMSA. We need address a number
of issues within the law as they relate to Debt Management and the operations of
our businesses, AND address how we can influence the law on Debt Settlement to stop
the encroachment of debt settlement into the traditional areas being served by Credit
Counseling Agencies.
- Membership
- Since For Profit-Credit Counseling Agencies do not submit a 990 (which is public),
we are asking that they submit a letter from their accountant that they have undergone
and independent annual financial audit (per Standard 18)
- Vendor - $3,000 may be too much - can we include the conferences (or a conference)
for this price?
- Why haven't you joined? (I have included a membership package to complete)
- Creditor
- We experienced some push-back from creditors because at least one creditor had the
impression that we were allowing Debt Settlement Agencies to join. We need to send
a CLEAR statement to the creditors, and all interested parties alike, that the membership
in ACCPros is exclusively for the advancement of Licensed Credit Counseling.
While some agencies may have a relationship, passing or otherwise, with debt settlement,
their membership, efforts and involvement in ACCPros will be exclusively for Credit
Counseling.
